Established in 1997, Simon’s Place has become a meeting place for an eclectic mix of students, artists, music – heads and daily grinders. The atmosphere is friendly, bustling and informal – the walls lined with posters of the current happening around the city.
The Café is open from 8.30am until 5.15pm Monday – Saturday. It is very busy at lunchtime with the queue out the door. All our food is freshly made every morning. There is a choice of two soups. Thick ‘doorstep’ salad sandwiches are made from our own unique brown bread and the best of ingredients.
“Café, canteen, social centre, bohemian pick-up joint and ear-wiggers refuge, Simon’s is one of the best cheap restaurants in town” – The Dubliner 100 Best Restaurant.
